I think I will allow it all to overtake me now.
I think I will let it win for just now until I know I am emptied of my hope and my tears.
Both are futile.
I shall leave them at this crossing and finally pick a road.
This forked juncture, the junction has been inhabited for years. I dare take a turn now.
Right when I feel my hope is lost, left behind with my tears.
I will not allow it to cradle me,
For then I will breathe only the essence of sorrow.
Today I turn and run the right way.
Toward my sense of victory.
